SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party (UDP), the National People’s Party (NPP) and two Independent legislators have formed an opposition alliance on Wednesday.

UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh informed that they have sent an invitation to the HSPDP to join the alliance.

“We anticipate a positive response from the HSPDP,” Lyngdoh said.

When asked if they have named the alliance, he said that they are likely to approve the name of the alliance on Thursday.
