Arrests
On March 13, Police arrested four persons, Roshan Singh, Kishan Singh, Sunny Singh and Bipin Rai in connection with a gang rape case under Laitumkhrah PS (EKH).
Police arrested five persons, Tamana Nath (25), Bapon Nath, Aftab Uddin (35), Riyazuddin Ali (40) and Md. Jamir Uddin (26) in connection with kidnapping/abduction case under Lumdiengjri PS (EKH).
Police arrested two persons, Mar Snieh and Hed Snieh in connection with a theft case under Jowai PS (WJH).
Police arrested Michael Nongkynrih (27) and Bashai Bok Kharrngi (20) in connection with assault case under Laban PS (EKH).
Theft
On March 13, unknown miscreants broke into the Bible Society of India, Guest House at Nongrimmaw, Laitumkhrah and stole one mini laptop computer and digital camera.
Stolen items recovered
Police recovered 4 solar plates stolen from Raj Bhavan garden last year from Kurihamari village under Nalbari district with assistance from the Assam police. With the recovery of four more plates, altogether, 17 plates were recovered and 26 more are yet to be traced. In this regard, police also arrested three persons.
