A three-day Capacity Development Training for JFMC Members on management, processing and value addition of NTFPs & Income Generating Activities in Meghalaya was organized by the Office of the District Forest Officer, East Khasi Hills District at RRTC, Umran in Ri Bhoi District on Thursday.
Health mela
A two-day Mini Health Mela under National Rural health Mission (NRHM) organised by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, West Garo Hills was held at Kumligaon village near Ampati in South-West Garo Hills on March 14 and 15.

Concert
The North Eastern Service, AIR, Shillong will broadcast a live Western Music Concert from U Soso Tham Auditorium on March 15 from 4.30p.m to 6.30 pm on 60.36 Mtrs also on Additional FM 100.1 Mhz. Most of the AIR Stations in the North East will relay it. Notable bands from Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura and Assam like Withered, Fringes, Colours, Soulmate, Ron & Friends and others will participate in the two-hour live show.
World Kidney Day
The World Kidney Day jointly organized by the Department of General Medicine/ Pediatrics and Urology was observed in NEIGRIHMS on Thursday. The theme for this year is ‘Kidney for Life, Stop Acute Kidney injury’. A poster competition was also held.
