SHILLONG: A new body of Mixed Martial Arts in the state, “Martial Showdown”, was formed on Monday.
The members are: Richard Ryntathiang (Pres); Johny Ryntathiang (Gen Sec); Isaiah Kharmaw-phlang (Treasurer); Cores Marwein (Publicity Sec) and three executive members – Maya Ica Laloo, Evansara Warjri, Ibasuklin Lyngdoh.
Two members, Johny Ryntathiang and Cores Marwein took part in the Super Fight League of India Bootcamp on Sunday and Ryntathiang won his first MMA fight and thus signed a contract with the SFL.
Cores is awaiting his opportunity next month.
The SFL will broadcast on ESPN Star from Mar 29.
