Rangbah Shnong arrested for pelting stones

 SHILLONG: Police on Sunday arrested the Rangbah Shnong of Mawkning under Pynursla and three others for creating nuisance at Nongkynrih village by pelting stones at the houses and property of three villagers on Saturday evening.

The headman identified as Iengskhem Nongkynrih (28) and three others, Bashanri Pyngrope (30), Leningson Rynjah (28) and Symper Kharkongor (33) have been arrested and will be forwarded to the court on March 25. According to the police, the matter came to light after three local villagers of Nongkynrih filed an FIR against the local headman along with three others for allegedly pelting stones at their property.

The first FIR was received from one Aphida Nongsteng who complaint that the miscreants pelted stones at her house on Saturday evening, the second complaint came from AM Pyngrope who stated that they pelted stones at her vehicles while the third complainant Bhalang Rynjah alleged that the four miscreants pelted stones at his mother’s house.
