ATM vandalized

On March 24 around 2 am, unknown miscreants vandalized the SBI ATM at Barapathar, Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.

Assault

On March 22 at about 8 pm, one Savio Syih assaulted one Sujit Kumar Palhi at Lad-Sutnga, Khliehriat (EJH) and also threatened him with dire consequences.

Theft

lAnil Kumar Singh, a Sr. Manager, BSC-C and C- JV Co., lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on March 21 circa 1.35 am, four unidentified miscreants in one truck (AS-01DC-8733) stole one DI Watering Pump from Mawlangrin (WKH). In this connection, Police arrested Dipujana Nongbet (40), Istingwell Kharmujai (32) and Ban Muktieh (17) from Nongstoin (WKH).

lFr. Januarius S. Sangma, SDB, lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on the night of March 21, unknown miscreants broke into a house at Thakuranbari, Tura (WGH) and stole gold ornaments and other household articles.

Rape

On March 20 around 2 pm, one Ignesius Nongsiang (19) raped one minor girl (3) at Mawlangdep village (WKH).

Demand note

Morningstar Jyrwa, the general secretary of Khasi Hills Archery Sports Institute (KHASI) lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on March 20 that he received a letter in which the sender demanded that from March 20 onwards only ending digits should be declared, failing which the sender threatened him with dire consequences.

Violation

E. Lyngdoh, the Deputy Secretary of SAD (E) lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on March 20, CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing along with three other women barged into the Main Secretariat building through the 1st Gate. However, when the Special Branch personnel, D. Shira and SBC A. Dhar who were on duty prevented them, they also abused the SB personnel.

Arrest

Police arrested two persons, Jerobam M. Momin (18) and Nicolash Sangma (18) in connection with a theft case under Mendipathar PS.
