Bangladeshi apprehended

SHILLONG: The BSF on Wednesday apprehended one Bangladeshi national identified as Saikat Ali (65) from West Jaintia Hills while he was infiltrating from Bangladesh to India and on inspection BD Taka worth Rs. 1188 was recovered from his possession.

In another occasion, on Thursday, the BSF troops apprehended one Bangladeshi illegal immigrant identified as Md Sarif Ahmed (24) from West Jaintia Hills while he was trying to infiltrate from Bangladesh to India.

Besides above, the BSF troops also seized 11 number of Cattle, 901 bottles of Liquor, forest produce and other contraband items of the estimated cost of Rs. 3,80,000 during the last week.

Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.
