Additional DC appointed

The Governor of Meghalaya has appointed MB Challam, additional district and session judge of the fast track court, Shillong as the additional Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills district for trial of all offences punishable with deaths, imprisonment for life or for a term of not less than five years under the India Penal Court.

Café registration

The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills has informed that cyber café operators should get their café registered and obtain a license from the office of the DC as per the Meghalaya Cyber Café Rules, 2012. They have been directed to apply for the registration within a period of one month.

Meeting

The Arunachal Pra-desh Pensioners Welfare Association in its general meeting has elected OS Chyne as the president, CV Pugh as general secretary besides other members.

Session

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Lady Keane College will host an interactive session with delegates of Knit India Movement in connection with the silver jubilee celebration of the Bharat Jodo March on April 2 at 1 pm in college auditorium.
