Justice Ujjal Bhuyan sworn in as judge of Gauhati High Court

Guwahati: Justice Ujjal Bhuyan was on Monday sworn in as a new Judge of the Gauhati High Court. Chief Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel administered the oath to Justice Bhuyan, who was serving as an Additional Judge in the High Court, in a simple ceremony here.

Registrar General M K Bhattacharjee conducted the proceedings and read out the warrant of appointment to Justice Ujjal Bhuyan. Born in August 2, 1964 at Guwahati, Justice Bhuyan has been in legal profession since 1991.

He had obtained his Bachelor of Law degree from Government Law College, Guwahati, and Masters of Law degree from Gauhati University.

Prior to being elevated as judge, he was appointed as an Additional Judge of Gauhati High Court on October 17, 2011. (PTI)
