Theft

One Drasana Daruala, Assistant Security Officer of Amrit Cement Industries Ltd., lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on March 22 and April 2, unknown miscreants stole two water pumps belonging to the company at Lumshnong (EJH). On April 3, the water pumps were recovered from the residence of a contractor viz., Md. Akanon Hussain. During investigation two other labourers, Md. Autan Hussain Laskar and Md. Haribul Islam Borbhuiyan were found involved in the crime.

Press person robbed

On April 1 at about 5 pm, unidentified miscreants snatched a purse from one Kabita Debarman, at Glory’s Plaza, Police Bazar, Shillong which contained SBI ATM card, EPIC, PAN card, driving License, Smart Canteen card, Press ID card, two silver rings and Rs. 800.

Arson

One Dewis Shylla lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on March 27 around 11.30 pm, her son-in-law, Pul Pran, set fire to her house at Thangrain village (WJH). He also threatened his wife, Joysing Shylla.

Body recovered

On April 3 at around 11 am, the body of one Shaipur Mawlong (41) was found hanging inside a hut at Lawkhla (EKH).
