Probe into ULFA cadre’s death in encounter

SHILLONG: A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the killing of an ULFA cadre during an encounter between a group of militants and the police on January 28 at Upper Khaldang, North Garo Hills.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, the First Class Magistrate of North Garo Hills District urged the public to provide information relevant to the inquiry, if any, before May 5.
