Bajoria, Jail Road Boys register wins

SHILLONG: BK Bajoria beat Ruprekha Parishad while Jail Road Boys School defeated Queenie Secondary in the 8th I.P.Das Memorial (U-16) Inter School Cricket Tournament organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at the Cricket Grounds, Polo on Friday.

In the 1st match, Ruprekha won the toss and elected to bat first only to be bundled out for a paltry 55 in 12.1 overs. Mukesh was the pick of the bowlers for Bajoria grabbing three wickets for 10 runs. In reply Bajoria romped home in 12 overs with eight wickets to spare.

In the 2nd match, Queenie won the toss and elected to bat first. However, the Jail Road bowlers did well to restrict the batters to 87 in 17.2 overs. Sahabuddin grabbed three wickets for 10 runs. In reply Jail Road Boys reached the target in 13.1 overs with four wickets to spare.
