Heaven’s waterfall

The blood that flows from Calvary’s stream, the blood of the Son of Man,

To all who sins and are set free, it gives the victory stand.

It’s always there to wash us clean, it makes us white as snow,

It’ll go nowhere; it’ll stay in here – the perfect gift to know.

 It flows so free, it flows for free, it’s quick as it can be,

That sin stained hearts will know for sure, they’ve won their enemy;

So quick to remove the guilt in me that binds that pulls that frees,

The guilt of sin that torments man and clouds his destiny.

 It flows and roars and grows in me, this is the life of God,

Its beauty’s soft that touches me, I will not leave this place.

It sweeps, it keeps, it feeds, it’s deep, it’s all that we all need,

We’ll find it’s rest that so complete, the need in such great heat.

It bounces back the enemy’s name, so far he has to flee,

He cannot stand to see this blood, his shame is all he see;

Brought low and defeated with no pace to step, he is gripped and whirled beneath,

Stripped off his powers as naked as can be, he lost it all in me.

 Headlong he fell from the Heaven’s door with no return tickets given,

Though he tries to scale, it’s slippery then, he’ll never make it again;

To the bottom less pit, deep, dark and thirsty he crawls the bends to meet his end,

That no man may listen to the deceitfulness of the one who once shown the Heavens.

 So near to Calvary but yet so far from his expecting victory,

Another mile to the endless eternity with not another Gethsemane;

Late hold of the crucified body but couldn’t touch the God head bodily,

Instead, in three days, the keys of sin and death ‘been ripped from his security.

 The blood of the Master avails for all as a hedge to all those who believe,

The protection more prickly than the thorny Crown, His grace is all I see;

That I may walk untouched by him who choose to be an enemy,

So finds he, shocking to see the powerless thorns at Calvary.

 When Satan saw He swept like blood, he saw his dreams come true,

A merry heart but for a moment, he found his head crushed through;

The end of the game, once and for all, was done just outside the city gate,

That you and I may enter in through the precious sacrifice He made.

 An empty skull had now been turned into a heaven’s waterfall,

So rich and grand; so amazing as it stands above the heights, so tall!

That all will see that they need not fall from their heights of sin and shame,

But to repent and return… and to call upon His Holy name.

 So we’ll swim, we’ll drink, we’ll enjoy to sing the Heaven’s great waterfall,

It’s always bright, there is no night, the air invites us all;

Who will not weep to miss this treat for Heaven is for all,

We’ll be His friend to the very end with Jesus as the Son of God.
