Assault

lOne Lonitha R Marak, Headmistress cum Secretary of Dakolgre LP SSA School lodged a complaint at Baghmara Police Station that one Lifstin Marak and one Allena R Marak assaulted her. As a result, she sustained injuries.

 lOn April 9, three persons, Nepon M. Sangma, Petti M. Sangma and Taseng Ch. Marak assaulted one labourer Akirul Islam at Wadagre LP School (South West Garo Hills).

Theft

lBinon Baishya (28) lodged a complaint at Ranikor Police Station that on April 7, one unknown miscreant stole unspecified amount of cash and gold ornaments valued around Rs. 75,000 from his shop at Kulang village (South West Khasi Hills). On April 9, the complainant managed to apprehend the accused, tied him up and went to arrange for a vehicle to hand him over to the Police. However, on his return he found that the accused was unconscious with grievous injuries.

 lAbdul Samad lodged a complaint at Ampati Police Station that on April 8 around 2:30 am, unidentified miscreants in camouflage dress, armed with lethal weapons entered inside his house at Mirjumla village and looted Rs. 35,000 besides gold ornaments and one cell phone.

Money demanded

Pulil Marak lodged a complaint at Dalu Police Station that on April 1 at about 7.30 pm, a group of youth went to the camp of M/s Good Luck Construction on Dalu-Mahendraganj Road (West Garo Hills) and demanded Rs. 5,000.

Harbouring criminal

Police have registered a case against one Phillip of Medipara village under Dalu Police Station, for harbouring his brother-in-law Nepol Marak wanted in connection with a raping of a minor under Tura Women Police Station.

Minor raped

On March 14 around 9 pm, Fakir Chand raped one minor girl (12) in his house at Dugripara village (South West Garo Hills). Rapes against minors has been in the rise in the State.
