Three held under immoral trafficking act

 SHILLONG: Police arrested two women and their accomplice under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act after a raid in a city hotel on Sunday night.

Police said that their special cell apprehended the women Marysha Shangpliang (23) hailing from Lum Mawbah, Upper Shillong, Deitybanylla Lyngdem (21) from Mawlai Nonglum and Banshai Marwein (25) from Nongpyndeng, Nongstoin from Hotel Knight Inn, Demseiniong at 8 pm on Sunday.

According to police, Manager Nitun Das who provided the rooms was not present. The customers’ cards which contained the phone numbers were seized. Police said that a case is being registered at Rynjah Police Station.
