Several witnesses were examined by the Tribunal on Friday with more witnesses likely to be examined on Saturday.

Senior counsel of the Assam government Abhijit Roy told media persons that several Assam government and police officials were also present in the Tribunal to register their observations.

It may be recalled that factions of both the outfits are engaged in peace talks with the government, though both the ULFA and NDFB continue to remain banned.
