Adventure sports event in WJH held

SHILLONG: The office of the District Sports Officer, West Jaintia Hills District and East Khasi Hills Dis-trict, organised the “Adven-ture Sports” – rock climbing, scuba diving and water polo – event on April 27 at the scenic location of Shnong Pdeng, West Jaintia Hills.

The programme saw more than 50 participants from both districts take part in rappelling, zip line, scuba diving and water polo.

Wallambok Lyngdoh was the chief instructor in rock climbing and Jason Lamare was the chief instructor of scuba diving.

The WJH District Sports Office had also held a rock climbing event on April 5 in Shangpung, which saw 56 people take part.
