NONGSTOIN: The Nongstoin Block Congress Committee (NBCC) was dissolved recently after its members expressed lack of confidence in its president Nestingdhar Nongdkhar. In its general meeting, one of the (NBCC) executive members M. Tympuin placed a no confidence

motion against Nongdkhar following which all the executive members of the NBCC stood against the president.

After the meeting, a war of words ensued between the executive members and Nongdkhar which was witnessed by all the members of the primary units and the sub-units.

Nongdkhar told The Shillong Times that he would take the matter to the DCC while adding that till the NBCC resumes, no additional political appointments would take place.

Members of the NBCC said that it was up to the DCC to decide the fate of the committee. They also alleged that as long as Nongdkhar continued as president, no Congress candidate would ever win from Nongstoin.
