Sacred Heart School celebrates platinum jubilee

 SHILLONG: Amid much fanfare and excitement, students of Sacred Heart Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Mawlai on Thursday, all decked up in their best attires displayed multiple shows and entertaining acts to celebrate the platinum jubilee year of this school.

Achieving yet another milestone on Thursday, Sacred Heart Girls Higher Secondary School one of the oldest schools in the State has for the past many years served the youth especially girls in the field of education and has produced many stalwarts in various fields.

Run by the Salesian sisters, this school has both Khasi and English medium sections which caters to almost 2000 students.

Delivering her message, Rev Sr Lucy Rose Ozhukayil, General Visiting Councilor of FMA Sisters from Rome stressed on the need to impart quality education to the students stating that “Quality education is connected to the virtue of life.”
