Murder
On May 13 at around 10 am, one Ber Dkhar stabbed one Dawan Siangshai at Ladmutong (EJH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and succumbed to his injuries on the way to CH Jowai.
Theft
On May 13, unknown miscreants stole two motorcycles (ML-05K-1874) and (ML-05J-3855) from Laban, Shillong. Later, both the stolen motorcycles were detected at Khanapara (RB). In this connection, Police also arrested Md. Amin (27) and Md. Abdul Hakim (25).
One Banteilang Marwein lodged a complaint that on May 2, one Badonborlang Wanniang (20) stole cell phones from his shop at New Nongstoin (WKH). Police arrested the accused and recovered one stolen cell phone from his possession.
Abduction
One Todaran Yadav lodged a complaint that on May 12, his brother, Bhanwarlal Yadav (51) while proceeding towards Sohkymphor in a motorcycle (ML-10-3289) collided with a Maruti Gypsy at Pamakmai (EJH). Later, three unidentified occupants of the Maruti Gypsy took Bhanwarlal Yadav to an unknown destination.
Threat case
One Orlando Bamon lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on May 11 at around 2 pm, one Ranjan went to his hotel at Mynkre (EJH) and threatened the manager with dire consequences.
One Perina Bareh of Jalaphet (EJH) lodged a complaint that on August 24, 2012, one Living Chyrmang borrowed Rs. 24 lakh from her. When she asked him to return the money, he assaulted and threatened her with dire consequences.
Trespassing
One Wis Manner lodged a complaint at Saipung PS that on May 9 at around 10 am, one Proster Tangliang and others criminally trespassed into a disputed land at Mynthning (EJH), felled the standing trees and removed them.
Murder attempt
On May 8 at around 12.30 pm, one Prim Lamurong attempted to murder the President of HANM Sanbormi Lyngdoh and other members of HANM Khliehriat Circle with a dao at Rngad village (EJH).
Reference to the recovery of one unidentified male body from Dilni River at Marpara (WGH), further report received indicated that the deceased has been identified as Rimrang M. Sangma and was murdered by one Rakrak Marak.
Newborn baby recovered
One T. Jyrwa lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on May 4 at about 5 pm, he recovered a newborn male baby from the jungle near Sangmein playground at 5th Mile, Upper Shillong. The baby was shifted to PHC, Pomlum.
