Air Force Chief addresses NE station commanders

 SHILLONG: The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne on Wednesday updated the station commanders on the security scenario with special reference to the implications in the Northeastern region.

Addressing the conference of station commanders, the Air Chief Marshal said that IAF is on a high growth path and is in the process of acquiring multispectral strategic capabilities. He complimented the Air Warriors for the success of recently conducted Air Force exercises ‘Iron Fist’ and ‘Live Wire’ which showcased the prowess of IAF in wide spectrum of sub conventional and conventional operations in a net centric environment.

He stressed on the importance of leadership, team building and discipline which were pivotal in the success of these exercises. The commanders from Air Force stations located in the Northeast are participating in the conference at HQ Eastern Air Command, IAF here.

During the conference, the Air Chief Marshal awarded trophies to the commanders for achieving excellence in the fields of operations, maintenance and administration.

Air Force Station Chabua in Assam was awarded the ‘Pride of EAC’ Trophy, for standing first in the order of merit for overall performance.
