SHILLONG: A musical extravaganza organised by the Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee of the Siamsinpawlpi (A Paite students’ Welfare Association) at Don Bosco Technical Hall, Laitumkhrah on Saturday witnessed a huge participation of cognate tribes of the Zomis.

This first of its kind musical evening organised by the students’ association here in Shillong on the theme ‘Bridging diverse ethnic cultures of north east ethnic students’ through music’ featured songs ranging from country to modern songs, an encouragement to the students who are pursuing their future studies with the aim of achieving big in life.

The musical extravaganza which was part of the year- long golden jubilee celebration activities was sponsored by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, Ministry of external affairs, Government of India, the state arts and culture department and the Meghalaya tourism development forum (MTDF).
