SHILLONG: Contrary to the claim of high salary structure by Nice Infotech , which is managing the Access Control System in Meghalaya Main Secretariat, additional secretariat and Raitong building , the four supervisors posted at the entrances of these buildings are getting a monthly salary of Rs 3,000 each per month. Moreover, three computer operators are getting only Rs 4,000.

In the recent reply to RTI question by CSWO President Agnes Kharshiing, the Nice Infotech had claimed that while “the seven operators for access control system are getting Rs 7,000 each per month, four system administrators are getting Rs 9,000 each”. Moreover, a supervisor gets Rs 20,000 per month as per the statement of Nice Infotech.

However, the staff who are managing the access control said that instead of Rs.7,000 per month, they are getting just a monthly remuneration of only Rs 4,000.

Moreover, the computer operators are getting a meager amount of Rs 3,000.

The Secretariat Department Administration is paying a total amount of Rs 1, 05,000 per month for the staff as salary. However, the staff alleged that the company did not provide any appointment letters to them. Moreover, monthly salary is paid without taking any signatures of the employees.

Recently, seven employees left the job citing less amount of pay and cut in salary when they take leave.
