Health camp

A free BP check up and asthma detection camp will be held in Dr D Bareh’s clinic on May 24 from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The camp is being organised by Cipla ltd. There will be a free consultation with Dr Bareh (MD, Woodland Hospital) on the same.

Conference

A press conference on Run Meghalaya will be held at Café MOT at Laitumkhrah on May 23 at 12noon.

Public notice

The East Khasi Hills district administration has informed that the Government of India, Ministry of women and Child Development had instituted an award designed ‘Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Awards for the year 2012-13’ to honour individuals who make outstanding contribution towards service for the children. The awards will be presented annually to three individuals who make outstanding contribution in this field. Intending individuals from the district who desired their names to be recommended to the government of the award are required to send their nominations to the deputy commissioner of the district before June 20.

Donation

The members of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, led by the state secretary A Swer and the Indian scout and guide fellowship ked by its president GG Pariat on Wednesday handed over a cheque towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the cyclone hit areas of East Khasi Hills to the deputy commissioner, Sanjay Goyal.

Training camp

A combined annual training camp of NCC group headquarters will be organised by 61 Meghalaya girls Bn CC, Shillong at Umroi Military Cantonment from May 28 to June 6 and is expected to be attended by 10 associated NCC officers and 500 cadets from all parts of the State.
