Theft

lOn May 24 night, unknown miscreants stole one new motorcycle belonging to one Jollen Marak from his residence at Pathargittim (SGH).

lOn May 22 at around 2:45 am, four unidentified armed miscreants looted three cell-phones and Rs. 16,000 from one Kamud Kalita at Pancharing-B (SWKH).

lOn May 22 at around 10 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (AS-01-AR-8578) belonging to one Pankaj K Jha from Lad Sutnga (EJH).

lOn May 22 at around 9 am, unknown miscreants stole one car tape from a vehicle (ML-05H-4647) belonging to one M Syiem which was parked at Police Bazar, Shillong. In this connection, Police arrested Ricky O. Pyrbot (30) and Ozario (23).

lOn May 21 at around 7:30 pm, unknown miscreants stole cash Rs. 1000, one TV set, two LPG cylinders and gold ornaments, total valued around 80,000 from the house of one Marena Sengupta at Tura (WGH).

lOn May 17 night, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 25,000 from the house of one Dingjim M. Sangma at Pattangre village under Selsella OP (WGH).

Extortion

One Shambu Roy and Bikram K. Marak jointly lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on May 21, workers of M/s Sangma & Sangma Travel Agency illegally collected Rs. 50 from each commercial vehicle at Rongram (WGH). They also threatened the drivers with dire consequences.

Molestation

On May 21 at around 3 pm, Shaiful Islam molested one minor girl (12) in a tailor shop at Rongram Bazar (WGH). Police arrested the accused.

Raid

During the month of April, the excise staffs of East Khasi Hills detected 29 cases with a seizure of 145.920 litres of liquor and 110.645 litres IMFL seized. In this connection, 28 persons were arrested under Excise Act.
