Conference

The IX Biennial State Student Nurses Association (SNA) Conference to be organized by Trained Nurses’ Association of India, Meghalaya State Branch will be held at Woodland Institute of Nursing, Laitkor from May 29 to 31. Minister of Health and Family Welfare AL Hek will attend the inaugural function as the Chief Guest on May 29 at 11 am.

Yogamaya Ashram

The 38th Tirodhan Tithi of Sri Sri Thakur Suryananda Maharajji will be celebrated at Yogamaya Ashram, in Three Pine Colony, Laban on May 28.

Gratitude

The additional Deputy Commissioner (EKH) has expressed sincere gratitude to the relief materials donated by the Red Cross Society, Meghalaya to the families who were affected by the cyclone this month.

The distribution of APL, BPL, AAY, quota of Rice and SK Oil are being made available to all the fair price shops centres against April 2013 quota. Rice had been issued for Shangpung Wholesale centre on May 24, Nartiang and Jowai wholesale centres on May 27 and Ummulong Wholesale centre on May 28.

The Jaintia Coal Miners and Dealers Association recently organised a meeting cum awareness at the Indoor Stadium at Dkhiah East (EJH) to enlighten the public involved in coal related business on subjects of eliminating the practice of child labour, coal mines safety measures, the significance of environment, health issues and others.
