New Delhi: Activist-turned-politician and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal will take on Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in the Delhi assembly elections, AAP said on Sunday.

“Kejirwal will contest directly against Dikshit. We have taken the decision after a meeting of our party’s volunteers,” AAP leader Manish Sisodia said.

Dikshit represents New Delhi constituency in the Delhi assembly. In 1998 and 2003, she fought from Gole Market. But after the delimitation exercise, her constituency became defunct and she then in 2008 contested from New Delhi. (IANS)
