SHILLONG: Two persons drowned at the Umngot river in East Khasi Hills early Wednesday morning. The deceased identified as Aibokstar Nongrum (27) and Kyrmenlang Nongrum (38) went fishing early in the morning when the tragedy struck.
Police retrieved the body of Aibokstar on Thursday while the body of Kyrmenlang is yet to be traced.
