Public Prosecutor PL Sebastian informed that the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Kolkata, is yet to submit the forensic report to the court.

The trail for the Williamnagar gang-rape case is going on in the Tura fast track court.

It is expected that the forensic report will be submitted within a week.

Though the incident took place in Williamnagar, East Garo Hills, the trial is being conducted in Tura.

According to the Public Prosecutor, 20 out of 30 witnesses whose names were mentioned in the charge-sheet have been examined by the court so far.

The statement of the victim has also been recorded, Sebastian said, while adding that the victim has been admitted to a school in Shillong.

It was on December 13 last year that the girl was raped by 16 people, most of them juveniles, near Sacred Heart School in Williamnagar in East Garo hills district. The girl along with her friends was on their way home from the Simsang Festival when they were accosted by the alleged rapists.
