UGC panel to inquire into CMJ row

SHILLONG: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has constituted an expert committee to inquire into the anomalies of CMJ University.

In a statement posted on its website, the UGC said that the action of the Commission to institute the expert committee was following the action of Meghalaya Governor RS Mooshahary.

“Students and general public are hereby informed that the Governor of Meghalaya in his capacity as Visitor has initiated certain actions against CMJ Private University for irregularities committed by it. UGC has also constituted an expert committee to inquire into the issues in entirety,” the statement added.
