SHILLONG: The MPCC led by its president, Dr DD Lapang, expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of former Union Minister and Senior Congress leader VC Shukla. Shukla succumbed, on Tuesday, to his injuries sustained in the attack on a convoy of Congress leaders by Maoists in the Bastar region, Chattisgarh, on May 25. The MPCC members also observed two minutes silence and prayed for the departed soul.
