SHILLONG: AICC general secretary in charge of Meghalaya, Mukul Wasnik said that they would take all possible steps to ensure that promises which have been highlighted in the party manifestoes would be fulfilled on a time frame basis.

“We are committed to see the promises made to the people at the time of election are being achieved as far as possible,” Wasnik told reporters after the meeting of the MPCC Executive Committee here on Thursday.

Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma appreciated the Centre for fixing a substantial plan size to allow the Government to keep its promise which is reflected in the party manifestoes.

“Like in the past, we would be documenting the various initiatives and programmes of MUA II Government during the 365 days,” Dr Sangma said.

The CM however informed that the Government has taken steps to have dynamism in its governance even as streamlining the functioning of the departments.

“We are committed to see the various Government departments function in a transparent manner,” he said.
