SHILLONG: The All Meghalaya Adhoc Secondary Teachers’ Association (AMASTA) has opposed the decision of the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) to conduct the final examination for Class IX.
In a letter submitted to the Executive Chairman, MBOSE, AMASTA said the Board’s decision cannot be accepted as parents will have to bear extra expenditure on the examination fee. The Association also informed that most of the schools do not have proper security to keep the question papers safe.
Alleging the MBOSE of changing the examination pattern without proper survey, the Association said the schools would also have to bear extra expenditure to provide answer scripts and cost of transportation for collecting question papers from the collection/ deposit centres.
They also alleged that MBOSE has failed to provide sample question papers and proper guidelines for the examination.
