DC holds meeting to check price rise

 NONGSTOIN: The Deputy Commissioner, South West Khasi Hills District A Mawlong, IAS along with the superintendent of Police D Sangma MPS held a meeting at his chamber on Thursday with the members of Mawkyrwat Traders Association, Mawkyrwat Area Bus Association, KSU and FKJGP to discuss over the price rise of essential commodities in the District.

The DC expressed his concern over the price rise of essential commodities in the District due to the cutoff of the PWD Bridge for buses and other heavy vehicles at Umngi River.

The meeting decided that Committee will include the representatives from the DC Office, the Members of Mawkyrwat Traders Association, Mawkyrwat Area Bus Association, KSU and FKJGP to examine over the price rise of essential commodities in the District.
