Noted educationist no more

 SHILLONG: Former Principal of Laban Bengalee Boys Higher Secondary School, Sujit Ranjan Choudhury, left for his heavenly abode on June 27 at Guwahati. He was 74.

He passed his matriculation from Jail Road High School and graduated from Shillong College.

Choudhury, who started his career as a teacher served the school till 2000 when he retired as Principal. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. He also received state recognition for his service towards the education sector. The alumni association of the school has expressed their deep condolence on the passing away of their beloved teacher.
