Vehicle theft

On July 3 at around 1 am, unknown miscreants stole one truck (ML-10A-5917) belonging to one Menshane Lamare from his residence at Umiet under Umroi PIC (RB). Later, the truck was recovered at 14th Mile, Byrnihat (RB).

One Samson R Ralte lodged a complaint that on June 30 at around 5 pm, unknown miscreants stole his computer valued at Rs. 26,000 from his shop at Madanriting.

Rape cases

On July 2 at around 7.30 pm, Henry Diengdoh (47 yrs) raped his minor daughter (14 yrs) at Lumphira, Nongmensong.

Police arrested one Rajesh Kharkongor (19) in connection with an attempted rape case under Shillong Sadar PS.

Assault

On July 2 at around 7.35 pm, seven miscreants assaulted Simran Singh Biddan (30) and Ashu Roy (39) near Lamlyn Hotel, GS Road. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Woodland Hospital. Later, Police arrested Samson Lyngdoh (21) and Mark Sangma (20).

On July 1 at around 10 pm, VDP Members of Rymbai (EJH) apprehended one Johnson Rymbai for assaulting and threatening Md. Altab Hussain with dire consequences.

Murder

One Jalan G. Momin lodged a complaint that on June 30 at around 5 pm, unidentified miscreants murdered his mother-in-law, Rejia T. Sangma (57) and her nephew Jaswant T. Sangma (19) in their residence at Boldamgre (WGH).

Trespass

On July 1 at around 10.20 pm, unknown miscreants who came in a Maruti local taxi (ML-05G-1685) trespassed into St. John White Hall HS School, Madanriting and assaulted the Security Guard.
