SHILLONG: The Division Bench of the High Court of Meghalaya has directed for maintaining ‘status quo’ on its May 27 ruling quashing the appointment of Ms Loma Jyrwa as Mission Director of the State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW).

While hearing the matter recently, the Division Bench comprising of Chief Justice T Meena Kumari and Justice SR Sen also admitted an appeal filed by Ms Jyrwa on this case.

The court had rejected an earlier appeal as the petition was not in order.

Meanwhile, the court fixed the date for the next hearing of this case on September 2.
