Model-actress Lisa

Haydon got a

taste of the the impact that Indian cinema has on the audience abroad, thanks to the recently concluded International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards and weekend in Macau.

“One of the nicest things about IIFA was realising how far-reaching the affects of Indian cinema actually are. When you’re working every single day and heading to studios, you don’t realise how many people in the world do your films actually affect,” the 27-year-old said here Monday at an event by hair care group Schwarzkopf.

“So, to interact with all the foreign media and foreign fans and they all know your name… that felt really good,” she added.

One of Lisa’s forthcoming films, Santa Banta, also starring Vir Das and Boman Irani, was heavily promoted at the three-day extravaganza. A press conference was held for the actors to share an insight about the film, and Lisa says it was really special.

Before entering the film world with “Aisha” in 2010, Lisa was a successful model. Post “Aisha”, she was seen in Rascals, and she has even done an item number in a Telugu film titled Rachaa. (IANS)
