SHILLONG: Lawmali Pyllun hung on to a 2-2 draw against Laitlyngkot despite leading by two goals at the end of the first half in Tuesday’s First Division match at the JN Stadium, Polo.

Sheen Sohktung’s 12th and 39th minute goals for Lawmali were wasted as Laitlyngkot recorded two strikes in just five minutes to make a remarkable comeback.

After an early lead, Sheen found the net for the second time to take his side into the lemon break with a solid two-goal lead.

However, it wasn’t long before Laitlyngkot struck back as Konbestar Mylliem found the net in the 59th minute.

Five minutes later, Ksankuparkupar Lyngdoh found the equaliser to place Laitlyngkot back on track.

In the Second Division match, Laban got one better of Nongthymmai as they completed a 2-1 win.

Laban’s goal scorers were Averywell Khongji (21st minute) and Henry Marboh (69th) while Gilbert Kharmujai scored Nongthymmai’s goal in the 75th minute through a penalty.
