Theft
On the night of July 18, unknown miscreants stole two Police motorcycles (ML-02-0521) and (ML-02-2656) from MPRO Barrack, Baghmara
Threat
Lasting Pala, secretary, VDP Umkiang village, lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on July 16, VDP members apprehended one Abraham Lamin from Umkiang and also recovered two small containers suspected to contain drugs. Later, the accused also threatened the VDP Members with dire consequences.
Fraud
Afasting Nongtdu lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on July 15, unknown miscreants used his nickname in the Facebook and threatened to kidnap the daughter of Chibor Wahlang.
Abduction
Darling Nonglang lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on July 8 around 9 am, one Tran Syiem, headman of Umiong village and others abducted Holi Nonglang (70) from his house at Umiong village and tortured him, alleging him of practicing witchcraft. They also expelled the victim from the village and his whereabouts are still not known.
Sinal Sutnga lodged a complaint that on July 15 at about 8 am, her husband Montu Sheikh, driver of Bolero pick-up vehicle (ML-04B-4089) went to Jaintia Cement (EJH) and did not return home. On July 16, she received a call from him informing that he had been kidnapped.
Assault
On July 7 around 8.20 pm, one Rexdrillar R. Marak (30) assaulted Greolline N. Sangma, her minor son Rongsliang N. Sangma (3) and her maidservant Nengchi R. Marak (15) and vandalised her house at Motinagar, Shillong. Police arrested the accused person.
Complaint
Md. Salman Ali lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on May 25, 2013 at about 10 am, three unidentified persons at gun point entered inside his Bolero vehicle driven by Md. Mafuzul Islam at Naharlagan (Arunachal Pradesh) and asked them to drive the vehicle towards Shillong. On crossing Nongpoh (RB), the complainant and the driver became unconscious after they consumed food offered by the abductors. Later, the abductors abandoned the victims at Lumshnong (EJH) and drove away the vehicle.
