SHILLONG: The HNYF Northern Region has opposed the Dorbar Shnong of Mawsiatkhnam for its proposed move to sell 200 acres of land to the Assam Rifles without the consent of the resident and the neighbouring villages.

Also opposing the Hima Mylliem for approving this proposed move of the Mawsiatkhnam Dorbar Shnong, HNYF Northern Region president Banpynskhem Kharnaior said that the decision to sell off the land belonging to the Raid was taken without informing the local residents and the nearby villages.

The HNYF has urged the local populace and the surrounding villages of Mawsiatkhnam to voice out their stiff opposition against the decision of Mawsiatkhnam Dorbar Shnong while terming this decision as a move against the welfare of the people.
