Police refuses to withdraw FIR

 SHILLONG: Police has refused to withdraw an FIR filed by the relatives of one woman (24) who was allegedly kidnapped by one Litjanai Sun from Demseiñiong.

The relatives had asked the police to withdraw the FIR lodged following the return of the woman who denied of being kidnapped. However, the police have expressed their inability to withdraw the same as a case has already been registered in this connection.

Interestingly, Sun is a former member of the banned militant outfit, HNLC.
