CM backs ‘Supermom’ Kurbah

 SHILLONG: Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma has appealed to the citizens of the State to lend their support to Juliana T Kurbah, a finalist of the ‘Dance India Dance – Super Moms’ reality dance contest being aired on Zee TV every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm.

“Our people are not far behind in several spheres and it is only when they discover their talent and work hard to excel that the world comes to know about them,” Dr. Sangma said adding, “Many have won accolades in fields such as music, sports, literature and performing arts and Juliana is among the talented lot of the State so I feel that it is only right that the government encourages and supports her in her endeavour to reach the top and become a star which will bring great glory and honour to Meghalaya.”

The CM expressed hope that the people of the State will once again come together and extend all support to the talented dancer and vote her to victory.

“Her sheer hard work and commitment has led to her to this stage and if we all extend our hand I am sure she will achieve the pinnacle of success,” he observed.

Notably, Juliana a mother of a four year old child suffering with Leukemia besides having a mother suffering from amnesia has had to battle many odds in her life to achieve her dreams.

She is presently a dance teacher in Delhi and despite numerous constraints is diligently pursuing her ultimate dream of being acknowledged as a dancer of international acclaim.
