Threat case

A woman lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that one unknown person threatened to downloaded her photographs and post the same on the Facebook Page of St Edmunds College. According to the complainant, the person threatened to do such a thing if the girl refused to chat with him in Facebook. Police informed that they have already alerted the Facebook authority and suspected the persons to be a student from the same college or someone known to the girl. Police also informed that a similar case was registered at Mawlai PS by another girl who received the same threatening messages in her Facebook account inbox and police suspected that it is the same person who has been sending these messages to these two girls.

Arrest

On July 31, six persons, Jappu Rai, Shahit Ali, Arif Ali, Sharif Ali, Sanjay Rai, Prakash Rai and Wazim Uddin, created nuisance at Arunachal Bhavan, Cleve Colony. It was also reported that a fight broke out amongst themselves where some of them were injured in the fist fight. The injured persons have been shifted to the hospital and the rest have been arrested.

Theft

One Phillingstone Marak of Megam Akong (NGH) lodged a complaint that on July 30, one Lewith Areng stole a PAN Card, ID Card and Rs. 5,000. Police arrested the accused.

Assault

One Binoy Sinha lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on July 30 at around 8 pm, one Rajiv Singh Gill assaulted him at Rhino point, Shillong.

Arson

One Harjindar Singh, Dy. Manager, Simplex Infrastructure Ltd., lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on July 30 around 11 pm, unknown miscreants set fire on one Hyundai 220 Excavator at Umsiang Lamare village (EJH).

Accident

One Rajiv Singh Gill lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on July 30 at around 7.45 pm, one motorcycle (ML-05F-9392) ridden by Binoy Sinha dashed against his Scooter (ML-05K-6083) at Rhino point, Shillong. A criminal case has been registered in this connection.

Fraud

lOne Kailash Varma lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on July 29, unknown persons fraudulently attempted to track his E-mail Account.

lOne Indira Sangma lodged a complaint that on February 23 two persons, Nilim Akash Medhi and Md. Saidul Islam cheated her of Rs. 5,000.

Murder attempt

A woman (25) lodged a complaint that on July 11 at around 4.30 pm, one Amsol K. Jahrin molested and also attempted to murder her at Sakwang, Mawkyrwat (SWKH).
