KHLIEHRIAT: The Dorbar Shnong of Khliehriat West, in East Jaintia Hills District has asked all temporary residents staying in rented houses within the village jurisdiction to get themselves registered with the Dorbar Shnong.

The Dorbar Shnong has instructed everyone who are residing temporarily in Khliehriat West to get themselves registered with the Dorbar Shnong and also to produce their Permanent Residential Certificate at the time of registration.

The Dorbar Shnong made it clear that this was a preventive measure in order to bring down the rate of crime and anti-social acts in the village.

It may be mentioned that there are many residents of the village, living in rented accommodation without the knowledge of the Dorbar Shnong.
