NONGPOH: Protesting the state government’s decision to appoint Pooja Pandey in place of Akashdeep as the new Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi, the three social organisations — Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), North Khasi Hills District, Ri Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF), Federation of Khasi Jaintia & Garo People (FKJGP), North Khasi Hills District – have demanded appointment of a Khasi IAS officer as the head of the district. Three organisations have threatened to launch an agitational programme if their demand is not met within five days from Tuesday.
