Donboklang Marbaniang has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy for his thesis ‘Heavy metal removal potential of some aquatic macrophytes of Khasi Hills Districts, Meghalaya’ under the supervision of Dr. SS Chaturvedi, Department of Environmental Studies, NEHU. He is the son of Shaiphar Lyngshing and Swina Marbaniang, residents of Mawlai Nongkwar.
