SHILLONG: Tennydard M. Marak, who is pursuing the case related to ST status of Chief Minster Dr Mukul Sangma has clarified that he is neither the chief organizing secretary of Williamnagar Congress Committee or president of Block Youth Congress Committee as reported in the media.

“I am not even a member of the Congress party or any other political party. I am here to fight for the cause of the Garo tribes who are being cheated by such political masters in disguise of Garo Scheduled Tribes”, Marak asserted.

Earlier, the Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) president, Gabriel Wahlang also said that there is no one by the name of Tennydard M Marak in the Youth Congress and there is no Block Youth Congress Committee in Williamnagar at present.

According to Wahlang, the Block Youth Congress was rechristened as Assembly Youth Congress.
