Shillong Club ready to take back female guards

 SHILLONG: The Shillong Club Ltd has made it clear that it is ready to provide employment to the female security guards who were terminated from service if they approach through some other security agency.

In a statement issued here on Friday, RL Shullai, the director of Shillong Club said that the Club Management (Golf Section) has not had any problem with the ladies. “The problem has been with the agency through whom the ladies were engaged and is owned by one RA Marak whose behavior and services have been totally unsatisfactory and unacceptable.

“The Club is deeply conscious of the importance of providing employment to local indigenous citizens, particularly ladies, and will only be too happy to re-engage all the female guards in question through any other suitable security agency with immediate effect. The Club is contacting the ladies and giving them this option forthwith”, the statement added..
