Minors involved in rape case

 SHILLONG: In a disturbing incident of offence, as many as six minor boys’ involvement in a sexual crime against a minor girl has come to light after teachers of St. Rose Secondary School at Umpling lodged a complaint with the police.

The teachers of St. Rose Secondary School lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on August 5 they came to know that one minor boy (9) had sexual intercourse with one minor girl (10), a student of the school.

During initial inquiry, the boy revealed that five other minor boys of the same school but different classes between the age group of 12- 17 years also had sexual intercourse with the same girl.

According to police, six boys have been forwarded to the Juvenile Justice Board. A case has been registered under section 376 of IPC. Since the accused are minors, the case has been forwarded to the Juvenile Board, police said.
